Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and fabrication sketches.
- Fabricate, assemble, and install steel structures, frames, tanks, platforms, and other fabricated components.
- Measure, mark, cut, shape, and fit steel and other metal materials.
- Operate fabrication equipment including guillotines, press brakes, rollers, grinders, drills, and cutting equipment.
- Perform tack welding where required to facilitate fabrication.
- Ensure all fabricated components meet dimensional tolerances and quality standards.
- Repair and modify existing steel structures and equipment.
- Assemble components accurately before final welding.
- Conduct inspections on completed work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Comply with all company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with site installations when required.
- Work overtime when operational requirements demand.

Monday to Friday (overtime may be required based on operational requirements).

Company Description

- Qualified Boilermaker (Trade Test preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience as a Boilermaker within a manufacturing, engineering, or steel fabrication environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Experience working with structural steel and sheet metal fabrication.
- Proficient in the use of fabrication equipment and hand tools.
- Good understanding of welding principles (MIG, TIG and Arc welding experience advantageous).
- Valid driver's licence will be advantageous.
- Medically fit to work in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent fabrication and fitting skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.
- Good problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliable and dependable.
- Strong work ethic.
- Safety conscious.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
