A well-established company supplying process control and instrumentation solutions to the mining industry is looking to appoint a Process Control Instrumentation Sales Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships across mines and related operations, providing technical advice, and promoting instrumentation and automation solutions that improve plant reliability, efficiency, and safety. The role requires regular site visits, close collaboration with engineering teams, and a proactive approach to identifying new business opportunities within mining environments.Education
- Trade qualification in Process Control Instrumentation or Electrical Trade
Job Experience & Skills Required
- Proven experience in process control and instrumentation within the mining or minerals processing industry
- Strong technical knowledge of industrial instrumentation, control valves, transmitters, PLC systems, and process automation
- Ability to provide technical sales support, product selection guidance, and after-sales assistance to mining clients
- Experience engaging with mining operations, maintenance, and engineering teams on-site
- Ability to read and understand P&IDs, loop diagrams, and electrical drawings
- Experience compiling quotations, tenders, and technical proposals for mining projects
- Strong customer relationship management and negotiation skills
- Solid understanding of health and safety requirements in mining environments
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to mining sites
