As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the execution and delivery of electrical engineering projects across industrial, commercial, and infrastructure sectors. You will be responsible for coordinating technical teams, managing project schedules and budgets, liaising with clients and contractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest engineering standards.This role offers the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects while developing your leadership skills within a highly respected engineering environment.
Education:
- BEng / BSc / BTech in Electrical Engineering
- ECSA registration or candidacy towards professional registration will be advantageous
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Minimum 5 years' experience as an Electrical Engineer or Electrical Project Engineer
- Proven experience managing electrical engineering projects from design through implementation
- Strong knowledge of LV and MV power distribution systems
- Experience in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Ability to manage contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams
- Experience with electrical design reviews, commissioning, and project handovers
- Sound understanding of South African electrical standards and regulations
- Strong commercial awareness and contract management skills
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and leadership abilities
- Proficiency in MS Project and electrical engineering software packages
