Our client is a respected supplier of industrial electrical equipment, automation hardware, and integrated engineering solutions, servicing some of the most demanding sectors including mining, utilities, and heavy manufacturing.
This role is suited to a commercially driven sales professional who thrives in a technical environment. You will be responsible for developing new business, managing key accounts, and delivering solution-based sales into complex industrial operations. Working closely with technical and engineering teams, you will play a key role in identifying client needs and positioning fit-for-purpose solutions.
Education:
- Qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field (advantageous)
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Minimum 4–6 years’ experience in external sales within industrial electrical, automation, or engineering environments
- Proven track record in selling electrical equipment, automation hardware, or engineered solutions into mining, utilities, or heavy industry
- Strong technical understanding of electrical systems, control and instrumentation, drives, or automation technologies
- Experience engaging with engineers, project managers, and procurement teams
- Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into commercial solutions
- Strong business development, key account management, and pipeline generation skills
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and closing ability
- Experience managing long, solution-based sales cycles
- Self-driven with a strong commercial mindset
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
