An established organization in Isando, renowned for its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, is seeking a seasoned Operations Manager to drive performance across Parts, Service, and Product Support divisions.
As Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing the overall performance of key departments, setting and monitoring revenue, gross profit, and customer support targets to ensure sustainable growth. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying opportunities to expand aftermarket sales, enhance customer retention, and resolve critical support issues efficiently. You will oversee workshop and field-service operations, ensuring productivity, turnaround times, and job closures meet the company’s high standards.
Your leadership will extend to managing stock levels, inventory control, and working capital, while supporting supplier and OEM negotiations. You will be responsible for maintaining oversight of warranty claims and OEM support, escalating recurring issues and ensuring they are addressed promptly. Managing operational budgets, reviewing financial performance, and implementing corrective strategies will be key aspects of your role.
You will provide strategic guidance to departmental managers responsible for Parts, Service, and Product Support, setting clear expectations aligned with budgets and KPIs. Your involvement in team performance reviews, resource planning, and employee development will foster a motivated and capable workforce.
Duties:
Manage overall performance of Parts, Service, and Product Support departments.
Set and track revenue, gross profit, and customer support targets.
Identify growth opportunities and address support issues proactively.
Oversee workshop and field-service performance, monitoring productivity and turnaround times.
Manage stock levels, inventory, and working capital efficiently.
Support supplier and OEM discussions and escalate support issues as needed.
Monitor warranty claims, OEM support, and recurring issues.
Oversee operational budgets, review financial KPIs, and implement corrective actions.
Provide strategic leadership to departmental managers.
Support team development and succession planning.
Requirements:
Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
Proven responsibility for P&L, operational budgets, and departmental profitability.
Extensive management and operations management experience.
Strong background in Parts Management and Inventory Control.
Excellent leadership and customer support skills.
Experience with budgeting, warranty processes, and OEM relations.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage complex operational processes.
