Operator TLB (Manitou) - Underground Mining Introduction Harmony Gold Mine is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Operator TLB (Manitou). The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a Manitou (Magni 5.8) in both underground and surface mining environments. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced operator with strong safety awareness, sound equipment knowledge and the ability to work independently while supporting production targets. Min requirements Grade 12 / NQF 4 equivalent Manitou OEM Certificate (Magni 5.8) Competency B Valid public driver's license At least 2 years' experience operating a Manitou in an underground mining environment Medically fit to work underground, including HTS and RFA Good hand-eye coordination Good English verbal and written communication skills Clear criminal record Experience in a gold mining environment will be advantageous Job description summary Safely operate a Manitou (Magni 5.8) underground and on surface Attend pre-shift meetings and complete daily checklists and logbooks Conduct basic equipment inspections and maintenance Report breakdowns and mechanical/electrical defects timeously Maintain high housekeeping standards Comply with all health, safety, quality and operational procedures Report unsafe conditions both underground and on surface Support production through effective self-management and responsible machine operation Be available to work outside normal hours when required
