Job Summary
An exciting opportunity is available for a Payroll Clerk to join a professional corporate vehicle dealership in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate payroll administration, employee records, statutory deductions and payroll reporting.
DUTIES:
Gather and verify employee timesheets, attendance logs and hours worked, including overtime, leave, bonuses and commissions.
Calculate gross pay, statutory taxes and deductions, including retirement contributions, insurance and garnishments.
Process salary payments according to strict company payroll cycles.
Maintain and update employee records for new hires, status changes, promotions, terminations and banking details.
Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies by working closely with Human Resources and employees.
Prepare accounting summaries, payroll reports and year-end tax forms.
Ensure payroll processes comply with relevant labour and tax legislation.
Maintain accurate and confidential payroll and employee documentation.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a Payroll Clerk / Payroll Administrator.
Previous payroll experience within a corporate vehicle dealership / motor industry environment will be advantageous.
Experience processing salaries, overtime, leave, bonuses and commissions.
Knowledge of statutory taxes, payroll deductions and employee contributions.
Experience maintaining accurate employee and payroll records.
Good knowledge of relevant labour and tax legislation.
Strong numerical ability with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Good administrative, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle confidential employee and payroll information professionally.
