DEBTORS TEAM LEADER

Midvaal Recruitment is seeking an experienced and driven Debtors Team Leader to join a well-established company based in City Deep, Johannesburg. This role is ideal for a strong credit control professional with leadership experience who can effectively manage debtor accounts, support collections processes, and lead a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile debtors' accounts.
• Capture and allocate customer payments accurately.
• Submit monthly debtor reports and ageing analyses.
• Follow up on overdue accounts and escalate high-risk accounts where necessary.
• Resolve customer account queries efficiently.
• Coach, guide, and monitor the performance of the debtors team.
• Ensure effective credit control and collection processes are maintained.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric (Non-Negotiable).
• Credit Control Certificate or Diploma.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Senior Credit Controller.
• Previous team leadership or supervisory experience with direct reports.
• Strong understanding of credit control principles and debt collection processes.
• Experience working with ERP systems, particularly SAP Business One, will be advantageous.
• Experience with CGIC will be advantageous but is not essential.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Bilingual communication skills.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
