Role Overview
PC Technician responsible for diagnosing, repairing and servicing laptops and desktop computers, including hardware/software issues, upgrades, installations and data migration/cloning. This is not a cellphone repair role.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair laptops, desktops and computer peripherals
Perform hardware/software upgrades and installations
Carry out data transfers and drive cloning
Test systems thoroughly after repairs
Provide technical support and troubleshooting to customers
Maintain accurate repair records, parts used and time spent
Assist with spare-parts and tool stock control
Provide technical support to sales staff when required
Requirements
Matric essential
Proven experience repairing and servicing laptops and desktop computers
Strong hardware and software diagnostic skills
Good knowledge of Windows and common software issues
IT/technical certification such as A+, N+ or similar advantageous
Strong problem-solving ability
Good customer-service and communication skills
Able to work independently and manage time effectively
Valid driver's licence and own transport advantageous

Professional, reliable and trustworthy
Important: Laptop & desktop repair experience is essential. No cellphone repair experience as a substitute.
Package: R8,000 basic + commission, depending on experience.
