A vacancy for an EE Draughtsman exists at our transport company client in Pretoria West. Only candidates whose background includes buses (or minibuses), trucks, trailers, or any vehicle OHM experience will be considered. The ideal applicant will possess the following: National Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting Technology, or related field. Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a draughtsman in the bus building, automotive or manufacturing sector. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks). Proficiency in Microsoft suite (word, excel, projects and power point). Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and bus designing design principles. Familiarity with South African bus industry regulations and standards. Job Outputs: Create and revise detailed technical drawings (2D and 3D) using Solid Works software (e.g. SolidWorks). Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and design requirements for frames (floor, underframe and side frames, chassis preparation, internal and external cladding, electrical diagrams). Prepare layout, assembly, and part drawings for components (e.g., body panels, driver’s door, passenger entrance door, battery holders, air ducts, component parts). Collaborate with senior management, design engineer/s, project manager/s, and production teams to ensure accuracy and manufacturability of designs.Error!
