Overview
A newly opening luxury safari lodge seeks an experienced Executive Housekeeper to lead and manage the housekeeping department, ensuring immaculate guest rooms and public areas while upholding premium hospitality standards in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee housekeeping across rooms, public areas, and back-of-house
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards
- Manage budgets, stock control, and procurement
- Lead, train, and motivate housekeeping staff
- Conduct room inspections and quality audits
- Coordinate with Front Office and Maintenance
- Ensure health, safety, and hygiene compliance
Requirements
- 3–5 years’ senior housekeeping experience (luxury lodge/hotel preferred)
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- High attention to detail and quality control
- Knowledge of linen, chemicals, and equipment management
Remuneration & Benefits
- Salary R15 000 paid in Namibian Dollars / South African Rands
- Live-in shared accommodation
- Meals
- Cost of work permits and visa’s if necessary (for expat applicants)
- Annual leave
- Annual flights / passage home covered by the company
