Job Summary
PIZZA CHEF / EAST LONDON – This position will suit someone residing in Gonubie
The successful candidate will prepare and cook high-quality pizzas while maintaining excellent food quality, presentation and hygiene standards. We are looking for someone hands-on, reliable, energetic and passionate about food, who can work efficiently in a busy hospitality environment and is flexible to work shifts, evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience as a Pizza Chef / Pizza Maker is essential.
Experience within a hotel, restaurant, pub or similar hospitality environment.
Strong knowledge of pizza preparation and cooking techniques.
Experience working with pizza ovens.
Good understanding of food preparation, hygiene and safety standards.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
Reliable, punctual and well presented.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Willingness to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required by the hospitality industry.
Must have a minimum of 2 recent contactable references.
ADVANTAGEOUS
Formal culinary qualification or relevant hospitality training.
Experience with wood-fired or specialist pizza ovens.
Experience in a high-volume restaurant or hotel kitchen.
Knowledge of different pizza styles, toppings and preparation methods.
