Own and execute the artist’s social strategy with a focus on content strategy, trend execution, short-form editing, paid boosting, brand positioning.(for South African dance-music artist)
Key responsibilities
Grow and manage socials.
Plan, schedule, and publish strategic content.
Anticipate and apply music, dance, visual, and format trends.
Edit beat‑matched short-form videos for Reels/TikTok.
Ensure content aligns with brand and long-term positioning.
Push original music into trends and challenges.
Manage post boosting and basic paid targeting.
Track performance and refine strategy via analytics.
Maintain consistency, professionalism, and discretion.
Skills & experience
Min 5yrs in the music industry.
Proven social management for artists/brands.
Deep knowledge of TikTok & Insta culture; YouTube monetisation.
Short-form editing (CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut, etc.).
Early trend-spotting and strategic application.
Understanding of African and global music/dance trends.
PR/marketing familiarity, strong communication, and organisation.
Able to work independently and proactively.
Own vehicle
Not suitable for beginners, post-only schedulers, influencer managers without editing skills, or those unfamiliar with music/short-form culture.
Bonus: dance-genre experience, paid-ads targeting, work with dancers/DJs/creators, strong visual/fashion sensibility.
