Job Summary
RETAIL BANKING & TENDER RECONCILIATION CONTROLLER
Salary: R20 000 Negotiable
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Retail Banking & Tender Reconciliation Controller to join our Finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile daily retail store cash-ups and banking transactions.
- Verify multiple tender types including cash, cards, EFTs, vouchers and alternative payment methods.
- Investigate and resolve cash-up variances and banking discrepancies.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reconciliation reports.
- Maintain accurate audit trails and financial records.
- Support month-end processes and ensure compliance with internal controls and finance procedures.
- Liaise with store teams to resolve exceptions and provide support on financial processes.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12).
- Finance, Accounting or Bookkeeping qualification advantageous.
- 2–5 years' experience in retail finance, cashbook or reconciliation roles.
- Experience with POS systems and banking reconciliations.
- Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
- Excellent Excel, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
