Civil Site Supervisor – Renewable Energy Projects (Contract)

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Civil Site Supervisor to join a high-impact renewable energy project team. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong site supervision experience across large-scale infrastructure builds.

Cape Town / Standerton (with travel to project sites across Africa)

Contract

Fixed-term contract ending September 2027

Role Overview

You will be responsible for supervising contractors and ensuring all civil construction activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with project specifications across renewable energy developments including solar, wind, biomass, and hydro.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate civil construction activities on site
• Monitor contractor performance, progress, and compliance with specifications
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and approved plans
• Conduct site inspections, oversee testing, and verify construction processes
• Identify risks such as clashing activities and ensure mitigation plans are in place
• Maintain detailed site records, reports, and documentation
• Attend and facilitate site meetings and track action items
• Review contractor progress claims and support project controls
• Assist with commissioning, punch listing, and project close-out

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a Site Supervisor
• Experience in construction environments; renewable energy experience preferred
• South African citizen is preferred
