Farm Manager (Required for a Game Farm in the Eastern Cape)

Minimum Requirements:
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in farm management, with exposure to general farm operations
(livestock, land, infrastructure, and maintenance).
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to service, maintain, and repair farm equipment, machinery,
and engines.
• Proven ability to manage farm maintenance, infrastructure, and equipment upkeep independently.
Key Competencies:
• Honest, dependable, and hardworking, with a clear understanding that farming is a lifestyle and may
require after-hours attention.
• Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative and solve problems on the ground.
• Ability to follow instructions and execute tasks efficiently without delay.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to monitor farm activities and report on progress.
Reporting & Communication:
• Ability to compile clear and concise reports for trustees, including:
o Work completed
o Maintenance and operational concerns
o Practical improvement suggestions
Additional Requirements:
• This role is best suited to a mature individual with a stable and long-term outlook.
• Accommodation suitable for a couple; not ideal for families with young school-going children.
