Roles and Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the pallet yard. Supervise, allocate and monitor staff and daily tasks. Manage the receiving, sorting, stacking, repairing and dispatching of pallets. Ensure pallets are stored safely and efficiently. Monitor stock levels and movement within the yard. Coordinate loading and offloading of pallets and deliveries. Inspect pallets for quality, damage and usability. Ensure repaired and finished pallets meet required quality standards.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe yard. Ensure staff follow company procedures and health and safety requirements. Report damaged stock, operational issues and maintenance requirements to management. Assist with scheduling and coordinating deliveries and collections. Monitor productivity and ensure daily targets are achieved. Maintain basic records relating to stock, deliveries, repairs and yard activities. Assist management with general operational requirements as needed.
