A leading international manufacturer in Belgium is seeking experienced Millwrights to join its maintenance team within a highly automated production environment.

About the Role

As a Millwright, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimising production equipment to ensure maximum reliability and minimum downtime.

Working within a modern manufacturing facility, you will play a key role in supporting production operations, improving equipment performance, and maintaining the highest safety standards.

This position operates on a 5-shift rotation system and is ideally suited to a hands-on technical professional who enjoys fault-finding and working on automated manufacturing equipment.

What You'll Be Doing

Your responsibilities will include:

✅ Performing preventative, predictive, and breakdown maintenance

✅ Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults

✅ Maintaining automated production machinery and manufacturing equipment

✅ Conducting inspections, lubrication, alignment, and component replacement

✅ Maintaining and troubleshooting:

• Electric motors

• Gearboxes

• Conveyors

• Pumps

• Compressors

• Hydraulic systems

• Pneumatic systems

• Mechanical drive systems

✅ Supporting machinery installations, upgrades, and commissioning projects

✅ Carrying out root cause analysis to prevent recurring equipment failures

✅ Working closely with production teams to minimize downtime and improve reliability

✅ Following risk assessment procedures and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements

✅ Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation

✅ Participating in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives

We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you should have:

✔ Qualified Trade Tested Millwright

✔ Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills

✔ Experience within manufacturing, industrial, or production environments

✔ Experience maintaining automated production machinery

✔ Preventative and breakdown maintenance experience

✔ Experience working with motors, gearboxes, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics

✔ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics

✔ A stable employment history

✔ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

✔ A hands-on and proactive approach to maintenance

✔ Willingness to work a rotating 5-shift system

✔ Afrikaans proficiency

Candidate Requirements

• South African citizen

• Qualified Trade Tested Millwright

• Valid passport or willingness to obtain one

• Willing and able to relocate to Belgium

• Able to work in a fast-paced industrial environment

• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards
