A leading organisation within the manufacturing and automation sector is seeking an experienced PLC Specialist to join their technical team. This role is suited to a hands-on technician with strong automation, PLC programming, robotics and electrical fault-finding experience.
Repair, maintain and troubleshoot industrial robots and automated equipment.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance in line with maintenance schedules, job cards and work instructions.
Conduct electrical fault-finding across automation, robotics and production equipment.
Assist with robotic applications, projects, installations and commissioning.
Maintain accurate repair records and provide feedback on completed work.
Participate in departmental problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure all work complies with company quality, SHEQ and safety requirements.
T3/S4 Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics.
5 years’ experience in Automation and Instrumentation, with 2–3 years in an electrical/automation technician role.
Extensive PLC programming experience, particularly Siemens S5/S7 and TIA Portal.
Experience with Siemens, ABB and KUKA robotics, including KRC4.
Strong knowledge of automation, pneumatics, hydraulics, presses and robotics maintenance.
Good technical fault-finding, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
