Job Summary
Our client has an opportunity available for a Procurement and Supply Chain Director.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Economics and Business or Supply Chain Management.
- Additional higher education in Purchasing or Supply Chain.
- 10+ years’ experience in a senior leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in the use of major brand MRP or ERP systems.
- Ability to read and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
- Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain knowledge of the market in addition to current prices and fair rates.
- Plan policies and procedures for efficiently, honestly, economically and productively purchasing goods for production.
- Monitor, review and analyze bids and quotes with suppliers including the negotiation of service level agreements.
- Negotiate with key suppliers and searching for new business opportunities.
- Ensure that strategy and tools are in place and that they are optimized to source at the best conditions.
- Supply Chain management including supplier relations and global supplier management.
- Manage supplier contract negotiations.
- Lead inventory management activities.
- Lead the development and implementation of supply chain strategies to support company goals.
- Work with commercial teams to optimize process and support their business objectives.
- Assess and monitor supplier quality and key performance indicators.
- Responsible for the import and export department.
- Ensure accurate financial information submission.
- Develop short term and long-term budgets.
- Expand collaboration with important stakeholders including sales, quality and manufacturing.
- Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
