- Ensure effective utilisation of warehouse staff during loading and general operations — monitor team output and reduce idle time.

- Ensure all warehouse functions are conducted in a timely, professional manner, in line with company service standards.
- Report any onsite incidents that you become aware of that result in damage to the buildings and equipment within 24 hours to the warehouse manager
- Crucial responsibility of the assistant warehouse manager is to ensure that his team understands the operational processes required. Thus, the duty lies with the assistant warehouse manager to facilitate the operational processes and the adherence thereof.
- This is not a desk-based or office role. The Assistant Manager is expected to be physically active on the warehouse floor at all times.
- Administrative tasks are not part of this role — all paperwork, system updates, and reporting are handled by the Warehouse Manager and warehouse administrator.
