Job Summary
Our client, a leader in the steel manufacturing industry is seeking a highly experienced Management Accounts Manager to join their team based in Cato Ridge.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- CA (SA) with big articles
- CIMA qualification added advantage
- Proven experience of at least 5-7 years in a manufacturing environment as a Management Accountant or in a similar financial role.
- Proven ability to manage teams, build relationships, work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, influence others, and lead initiatives
- The ability to work with SAP S4 Hana.
- Good understanding of Accounting standards (IFRS) and tax legislations.
- Advance level proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is a MUST
MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS
- MIS – all performance related analysis including Board Pack, Budgets, Daily reports sent to operations, and all Group reports as required.
- Analyse and comment on all yield, variances and performance KPI’s for the plant as required by the business to communicate the performance of the plant daily.
- Manage the team of Management Accountants, as required by their KPI’s, which include inter alia:
o Preparation and timely reporting of various management reports
o Analysis of Company performance, books of accounts and highlighting control gaps, if any,
o Identifying and report on areas of improvement in terms of processes, book keeping.
- Budgeting (Long term forecasting & Annual Budget) Budgetary Control
- Managing the full finance function of the Southern entities (Mozambique, Namibia and Zambia) and supporting the respective Business Head
- Streamline processes to enhance accuracy and optimize efficiency.
- Liaise with managerial staff and colleagues in order for a smooth and timely availability of inputs required for management reports.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Provide a detailed analysis of performance of the business as required by the business including detailed review of management accounts pack and all related reporting.
- Analyze inventory report and report on risk areas and identified deficiencies.
- Conduct a detailed financial analysis, cost assessments and variance analysis to identify opportunities for operational improvement and enhanced profitability.
- Supervise direct reportee’s and ensure timely and accurate inputs are available from them.
- Manage the preparation of annual budgets, long-term financial plans and financial projections.
- Manage the internal and external audits.
- Budgeting (Annual Budget and rolling forecast) and Budgetary control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts that align with the company’s objectives
- Monitor and maintain compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards and relevant laws.
- Managing the full finance function of the Southern Entities (Mozambique, Namibia and Zambia) and supporting the respective Business Head.
- Review of manufacturing PIP projects and finance representative at PIP meetings.
- Manage all ITAC and all related assignments required from Finance.
- Review of Tax and VAT computations and returns.
- Bank signatory and related responsibilities
