Our client, a well-established manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced SHEQ Manager to lead and oversee the organisation’s Safety, Health, Environment and Quality programmes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving regulatory compliance, managing risk, maintaining certifications and promoting a proactive culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement across all operational departments.
Safety & Health
Implement and maintain effective safety and health policies and procedures.
Conduct regular facility and workplace audits.
Manage incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
Oversee occupational health and emergency response systems.
Identify and manage workplace risks.
Environment & Quality
Maintain environmental management systems, including waste, emissions and sustainability initiatives.
Oversee the Quality Management System (QMS).
Conduct and coordinate regular internal audits and assurance activities.
Drive quality standards and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure compliance with applicable local and international SHEQ legislation and standards.
Maintain accurate SHEQ records and documentation.
Manage required stakeholder and regulatory reporting.
Monitor compliance and identify areas requiring corrective action.
Training & Leadership
Lead and manage the SHEQ function.
Work closely with department heads and HR to promote a strong SHEQ culture.
Facilitate employee training relating to safety procedures, emergency drills, quality control and environmental awareness.
Promote continuous improvement and employee involvement in SHEQ initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
5–7 years' dedicated SHEQ management experience.
Previous experience within a manufacturing environment.
Strong working knowledge of SHEQ standards and regulatory requirements.
Experience with risk assessments, incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and internal auditing.
Strong MS Office skills.
Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
