Job Summary
Minimum 3 years experience
• Experience in shopfitting, exhibitions, retail fit-outs, cabinetry, manufacturing, or a similar project-based environment.
• Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, joinery, fabrication, and installation methods.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and layouts.
• Strong Excel and costing skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and supplier negotiation skills.
• Practical understanding of project delivery and site installation.
YOU'LL BE PART OF
• Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, and project quotations.
• Measure quantities from drawings, layouts, and specifications.
• Source and compare supplier and subcontractor pricing.
• Compile material, labour, installation, transport, and overhead costings.
• Assist with tender submissions and client costing packs.
• Track project budgets, variations, and cost changes.
• Prepare cost reports and support margin control.
• Work with design, production, and installation teams to ensure accurate and realistic costing.
• Assist with final accounts and project close-outs.
We are a specialist company focused on the design, manufacturing, and installation of exhibition stands and turnkey shop fit-outs. We are looking for a skilled and detail-driven Junior Quantity Surveyor (Junior QS) to join our team and play a key role in costing, procurement, budgeting, and commercial management of our projects.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and tender submissions, managing supplier quotations, and controlling project costs from concept to completion. The role requires practical costing ability, strong attention to detail, and a good understanding of shopfitting, exhibitions, manufacturing, and installation environments.
