Job Summary
A prominent manufacturing and food production brand (based in the Southern Suburbs) is seeking a Sales Admin Manager to oversee their sales administration functions and lead an energetic team.
This role offers a structured 5-day work week (no overtime required) with flexible working hours (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM). The position involves taking over from a retiring team member and includes a comprehensive 8-week handover period.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Order Administration: Oversee the administration of all tasks relating to customer orders and sales administration.
Key Account Management: Manage key accountabilities for all made-to-order customers.
Pricing Control: Manage the accurate loading and control of pricing across all systems and accounts.
Customer Liaison: Act as the primary client-facing point of contact to liaise with customers regarding orders, product availability, delivery due dates, shortages, and other order inquiries.
Exception Reporting: Compile exception reports complete with clear recovery dates for any order discrepancies or delays.
Planning & Backorders: Liaise regularly with Demand Planners, manage back orders, and assist with transport/delivery bookings and re-bookings.
Onboarding: Oversee the smooth onboarding and setup of new customers.
Team Leadership: Provide gentle yet firm leadership, guidance, and daily direction to a young, dynamic team (ages late 20s to 30s).
Requirements & Experience
Experience & Maturity: Proven track record in administrative leadership and team management; mature approach preferred.
Skills: Strong leadership abilities with a gentle but firm management style, exceptional organizational skills, clear communication, and strong client-facing experience.
Systems: Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Experience with specialized ERP/sales systems is a plus, though internal systems are fully trainable.
Execution: Strong ability to hit the ground running and work efficiently.
Location & Travel: Based in or around the Southern Suburbs preferred for easy daily travel.
