Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree or equivalent

• Admitted as an Attorney in South Africa (preferred)

• Minimum 3–5 years' legal experience in corporate, commercial, or in-house roles

• Strong knowledge of legal technology platforms and tools

• Proficiency in legal practice management systems (Lexis Nexis, Casepoint, or similar)

• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros, data analysis)

• Basic coding or scripting knowledge (Python, JavaScript, or similar) (advantageous)

• Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems (advantageous)

• Familiarity with legal automation tools (DocAssemble, HotDocs, or similar) (advantageous)

• Project management certification or experience (advantageous)

• Understanding of legal workflows and process improvement methodologies

• Design and implement legal technology solutions and automation workflows

• Analyse legal processes and identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains

• Configure and optimise legal practice management systems

• Develop legal templates, automated documents, and standardised processes

• Support implementation of contract management and matter management systems

• Conduct user training and provide technical support to legal teams

• Maintain legal technology infrastructure and troubleshoot system issues

• Manage data quality and system integrity across legal platforms

• Prepare reports on legal operations metrics and system performance

• Liaise with IT and external technology vendors

• Contribute to legal innovation initiatives and digital transformation projects

• Document processes and create user guides and standard operating procedures

• Support knowledge management and legal research tool optimisation
