Job Summary
Delaire Graff Restaurant is looking for a Bar Back Assistant to ensure that there is always fresh water for the restaurant and be assistance to all in the restaurant.
Main Responsibilities:
Ensure sufficient water stock for the restaurant and reserve supply
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the water room and water bottles
Assist the barman with daily bar operations and general duties
Polish glasses once water room duties are completed
Sort, organise and maintain the cleanliness of the empty wine bottle storage area
Assist the restaurant manager with ordering gas for the water bottling system
Assist the restaurant manager with ordering water bottles
Provide general assistance in the bar throughout the day
Ensure ice machines are clean and operational daily
Ensure ice machines remain locked
Assist with restaurant duties as required
Perform the duties and responsibilities of a pass runner when needed
Main Requirements:
Preferably 1–2 years’ previous experience as a Bar Assistant or in a restaurant environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Comfortable dealing with very distinguished clientele
Must be well-presented
Flexible and accountable
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
Strong customer service orientation with a vibrant and enthusiastic personality
Ability to maintain professional working relationships across all departments
