Job Summary
Regional Engineering Manager – Mid Market Hotel Group, Papua New Guinea Our client is one of the largest Hotel operators in Papua New Guinea with a diverse portfolio of urban mid-market and upper-upscale hotels, residences and apartments . They are now looking for an experienced and energetic Regional Engineering Manager to oversee the Engineering function at four of their country properties with a total of 150+ rooms. Reporting to the National Engineering Manager, this role shall : · Ensure the efficient running of all the hotel and hotel serviced apartment facilities, including fire and life safety equipment and systems · Be responsible for the repairs and maintenance operation of the physical plant and engineering facilities within the properties · Maintain all electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing and HVAC related services and equipment · Plan and manage all preventative maintenance work, new projects, extensions, and renovations. · Be involved in preparing the Engineering budget for the properties and will provide the Engineering knowledge for the hotel and serviced apartment strategic and operational plans. Key Requirements / Attributes · Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or Electrical Engineering. · Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; CAD knowledge an advantage. · Minimum 5 years experience as a Hotel Chief Engineer, Engineering Manager, or equivalent in the hospitality or facilities management industry. · Demonstrated experience managing engineering operations across multiple properties simultaneously. · Proven track record in preventative maintenance planning for complex mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life safety systems. · Experience developing and managing Engineering budgets with cost accountability. · Deep expertise in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and building management systems in a hotel or large facilities context. · Inspires, motivates, and develops Engineering teams to achieve high performance and build capability. · Manages competing priorities and responds effectively to changing circumstances across multiple properties. · Prior experience in hardship / remote locations a big advantage Package · Salary – US$4,000 net per month · Accommodation · Medical Cover · Annual Flight Home · Single Status Only Please do not apply if you do not possess the specified skills and experience stated above.
