About the Role

An established engineering and manufacturing company is seeking a technically minded and organised Technical Sales Support Consultant to join its team in Jet Park, Boksburg.

The successful candidate will support customer service and sales activities, assist with identifying potential customers, prepare customer quotations and manage a schedule of customer visits. The role requires a sound technical understanding of CNC machining and manufacturing, together with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and communicate effectively with customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with identifying and researching potential customers within the CNC machining, precision engineering and manufacturing sectors, maintaining prospect information and preparing related reports.

• Assist with servicing existing customers by responding to enquiries, providing ongoing support and maintaining accurate customer information and service reports.

• Assist with preparing customer quotations by gathering the necessary technical and pricing information, maintaining quotation records and completing related reporting.

• Independently manage and maintain a customer visit calendar, coordinate appointments, plan customer visits and ensure that all required activity reports are completed.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of two years' sales experience.

• Technical education, training or practical knowledge of CNC machining and manufacturing processes.

• Excellent understanding of engineering drawings and the ability to interpret technical specifications.

• Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport.

Remuneration

A monthly salary of R18,000 – R22,000, depending on technical knowledge and experience.
