A leading company in the manufacturing and FMCG sectors, committed to operational excellence and customer focus, is seeking an experienced Senior Regional Manager to oversee their KwaZulu-Natal operations. This pivotal role involves managing diverse teams, optimizing logistics, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and service.
Duties:
Ensure effective fleet management aligned with RTQS and RTMS, including justified commercial fleet purchases and forklift fleet oversight
Manage the quality and accuracy of product delivery, internal sales teams, and customer interactions
Oversee raw materials warehouses and teams to Polyoak standards, maintaining optimal housekeeping across all departments
Conduct weekly and monthly stock takes, report variances, and investigate customer returns, delivery failures, and incomplete loads
Build and sustain strong relationships with suppliers and customers
Develop and manage budgets for capex, raw materials, and distribution, maintaining strict adherence within financial targets
Implement cost management systems to reduce, measure, and control expenses
Actively promote employee morale and engagement, fostering a positive work environment
Report on key logistics ratios and operational costs, providing strategic insights to executive leadership
Ensure compliance with FSSC, ISO, and other standards as part of daily KPIs
Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years in a senior management role within manufacturing or FMCG industries
Relevant Supply chain degree essential (not negotiable)
Proven experience in fleet, warehouse, and cost management
Strong budgeting and data analysis skills
Excellent communication and team management capabilities
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple departments and build stakeholder relationships
Familiarity with the following :
RTQS and RTMS standards
ISO and FSSC compliance
