Job Summary
A reputable manufacturing and FMCG organization committed to operational excellence and innovation is seeking a dedicated Buyer specializing in Packaging and Decoration. This role is pivotal in supporting the company’s growth by ensuring seamless procurement processes and maintaining high-quality standards across production facilities.
Duties:
Coordinate and expedite decoration requirements for both on-site and off-site production
Issue daily schedules for raw material needs
Monitor and update decoration stock levels for customers and sales teams
Oversee stock movement, including slow-moving and obsolete items
Manage decoration back-order reports and address quality incidents with suppliers
Negotiate pricing and maintain strong relationships with decoration suppliers and sales representatives
Handle artwork changeovers, including updating files and maintaining documentation
Track stock levels in line with business parameters and advise production teams on necessary adjustments
Requirements:
A relevant Supply Chain or Commercial Degree
2 to 3 years of buying experience within FMCG or manufacturing environments
Proficiency in advanced Excel and Microsoft Office tools
Strong planning, numeracy, and communication skills
Ability to multitask and manage multiple stakeholder relationships effectively
Excellent networking skills to foster supplier partnerships
