Job Summary
Manage end-to-end procurement of raw materials, spares, equipment, and services for cement manufacturing.• Develop and implement cost-effective purchasing strategies.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to achieve optimal commercial terms.
• Coordinate with production, maintenance, and technical teams for material requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and statutory requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and control procurement costs.
• Handle contract management, vendor performance evaluation, and supplier development.
• Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and technologies relevant to the cement industry.
Required Skills & Competencies:
• Strong technical understanding of cement plant operations and materials.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software (SAP/MM preferred).
• Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders.
Requirements
• B.E. / B.Tech (Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline).• Proven procurement experience in cement or heavy manufacturing industry.
