About the Opportunity
Our client is looking for an experienced and commercially driven Dealer Development Manager to lead the expansion and development of its agricultural machinery dealer network across South Africa.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, recruiting and supporting high-performing tractor and agricultural equipment dealers while building long-term partnerships that drive sales growth, improve market coverage and strengthen the company's presence within the agricultural sector.

Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 (Matric)
Relevant qualification in Agriculture, Business Management, Sales, Marketing or a related field will be advantageous
Minimum 3 years' experience within the agricultural machinery, tractor or farm equipment industry
Proven experience in dealer development, dealer acquisition and dealer relationship management
Strong understanding of agricultural equipment sales and dealer operations
Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills
Valid driver's license
Willingness to travel extensively throughout South Africa
Advantageous
Existing network within South African agricultural dealerships
Experience establishing dealer networks from the ground up
Knowledge of regional agricultural markets and farming communities
Experience working with tractor manufacturers or agricultural equipment suppliers
Key Responsibilities
Dealer Network Development
Identify, evaluate and recruit new agricultural machinery dealers across South Africa
Develop and execute dealer network expansion strategies
Strengthen relationships with existing dealer partners
Evaluate market opportunities and optimise dealer territory coverage
Develop annual dealer development and growth plans
Identify strategic locations for future dealer appointments
Dealer Relationship Management
Manage dealer onboarding and implementation processes
Conduct regular dealer visits, performance reviews and business evaluations
Assist dealers with business planning, sales growth and operational improvements
Establish dealer performance objectives and monitor results
Provide ongoing support to improve dealer capability and customer satisfaction
Build long-term strategic partnerships with dealer principals and management teams
Business & Market Development
Conduct market research and competitor analysis
Identify new business opportunities within regional agricultural markets
Support product launches, field demonstrations and agricultural exhibitions
Gather market intelligence and customer feedback
Recommend strategies to increase market share and dealer profitability
Monitor industry trends and customer requirements
Commercial Support
Support dealers with sales planning and business development initiatives
Assist with pricing discussions and commercial negotiations
Work closely with internal departments to support dealer success
Contribute to achieving national sales and market growth objectives
Prepare business reports and market performance analysis
