Mirna Butler Recruitment is recruiting for our client, a large-scale agricultural operation based near a regional town in Western Australia. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified and experienced mechanic to join a dynamic team and contribute to the efficient operation of a modern farming enterprise.

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a wide range of farm machinery, ensuring all equipment is operational during critical periods of the cropping and livestock seasons. This role requires initiative, strong diagnostic skills, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repairs on agricultural machinery, including tractors, sprayers, harvesters, and livestock equipment
• Ensure machinery is ready for key seasonal operations such as seeding, spraying, harvesting, and spreading
• Assist with servicing and repairs of light vehicles
• Support operations involving stump grinding, earthmoving, and lime pit equipment
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and servicing
• Collaborate with the Maintenance, Workshop, and Parts Managers
• Contribute to the development of safe work practices in the workshop

Requirements:

• Recognised qualification in mechanical repairs
• Extensive hands-on experience with modern agricultural machinery
• Strong mechanical diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Current driver’s licence
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and basic computer skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physically fit and capable of manual labour

Remuneration:

• Approximate salary: AUD $100,000 per annum
• Plus 12% superannuation (employer contribution to retirement fund)
