??? ??????????? ??????????? is assisting a well-established, family-owned beach resort in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania in sourcing an energetic, hands-on ?????? ??????? ???????. Our client has grown over 25 years into a diverse hospitality business. The General Manager will lead a capable 60-person team through the resort’s next chapter, optimising processes, strengthening interdepartmental communication and raising operational standards, all while preserving the relaxed, friendly atmosphere that keeps guests returning. This is a hands-on leadership role spanning four divisions — Operations, Finance, Development & Maintenance, and Sales & Marketing. The successful candidate will guide and support division managers, fix and streamline processes, and align people, systems, information and resources so that decisions are executed effectively across the business. ???????????? • At least 10 years’ experience as an all-round resort manager, with a solid understanding of how the different parts of a hospitality business fit together. • Solid resort management experience, preferably gained in Southern or Eastern Africa. • Hands on leadership style of management • Commercially minded, with a strong focus on occupancy, revenue, cost control and guest experience. • Strong grasp of processes, systems and numbers, able to read financial and operational information and use it to make sound decisions. • Technically minded enough to understand the basics of construction, maintenance and development projects, and to ask the right questions. • Proven team builder, able to develop managers, supervisors and teams and hold people accountable in a manner that is respectful and firm. • Confident, competent and down-to-earth — thrives on a challenge and is not easily fazed when things go wrong. • Able to work independently, distinguish what is important from what is simply urgent, and know what needs to be brought to the Directors. • Practical and willing to get hands-on when needed, without slipping into micromanagement • Tertiary Education relevant to the Industry ??????- Competitive salary package, including full room and board. ??????????- Full-time, based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. ??????? ????- Although we appreciate all applications received, we will only reply to those candidates who have the background and experience required.
