PASTRY CHEF – LUXURY 5 STAR LODGE | NEAR KRUGER NATIONAL PARK Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join a luxury 5-star lodge near Kruger National Park. This live-in role is ideal for a culinary professional passionate about producing high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods in a luxury hospitality environment. Salary: R32,000 per month (Live-in, Market Related) Benefits: 1-bedroom unit, Medical Aid (50/50 Contribution), Pension ROLE OVERVIEW The Pastry Chef is responsible for planning, preparing, and presenting all pastry, dessert, and baked items, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to the lodge’s culinary standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Prepare and produce high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods • Maintain presentation, quality, and freshness of all products • Follow recipes, portion control, and food safety standards • Innovate and develop seasonal menus and specials • Maintain kitchen hygiene and equipment in top condition • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth service • Manage inventory and stock control for pastry and baking supplies CANDIDATE PROFILE • Previous experience as a Pastry Chef in a luxury or high-end hospitality environment • Strong technical skills in pastry and baking • Creative, detail-oriented, and committed to excellence • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards KEY ATTRIBUTES • Passionate about delivering world-class pastry experiences • Professional, organized, and reliable • Hands-on approach with excellent time management • Team player with strong communication skills
