Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager for a prestigious luxury private game reserve in the Eastern Cape. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate hospitality leader to oversee the operations of a world-class safari property, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, strong financial performance and the successful leadership of a multidisciplinary team. We are looking for a hands-on professional with a proven track record in luxury hospitality, lodge management and strategic leadership. ? The Role The General Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the property, ensuring the highest standards of guest service, operational efficiency and financial performance. The successful candidate will lead all departments, drive business objectives and foster a culture of excellence throughout the reserve. ?️ Key Responsibilities • Oversee all day-to-day lodge and reserve operations • Ensure exceptional guest experiences and service delivery at all times • Lead and mentor department heads and staff, creating a positive and high-performing team culture • Manage budgets, forecasts and financial performance in line with company objectives • Monitor and improve operational efficiencies while maintaining luxury standards • Oversee guest relations and handle VIP guests and special requests • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations • Drive staff development, training and performance management initiatives • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, suppliers and local communities • Work closely with conservation and reserve management teams to support the property's broader objectives • Oversee maintenance, housekeeping, food and beverage, front of house and guest activities departments • Ensure the property consistently exceeds guest expectations and industry standards ?
