? **HEAD HOMEKEEPER** | **LUXURY SAFARI LODGE** ? **KRUGER NATIONAL PARK** An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Head Homekeeper (Head Housekeeper) to join a world-class luxury safari lodge in Kruger National Park. ? **Location:** Kruger National Park, South Africa ? **Salary:** Competitive, depending on experience ? **Employment:** Full-time ? **Working hours:** Lodge operational hours / Shift-based **THE ROLE** This is a department leadership position fully responsible for managing lodge cleaning, laundry operations, and suite preparation to achieve and maintain premium Homekeeping Standards, reporting directly to the General Manager. You will be responsible for: • Managing overall lodge cleaning, preparation, and Homekeeping Standards of Excellence • Conducting thorough daily room checks to ensure guest suite readiness • Overseeing internal and outsourced lodge laundry processes for linen and guest clothing • Leading, training, mentoring, and managing performance to maintain high morale and productivity • Driving HR processes, including recruitment, inductions, and staff discipline per the Code of Conduct • Managing homekeeping budgets, inventory, monthly stock takes, and procurement within limits • Monitoring equipment, lodge furnishings, and maintaining detailed maintenance snag lists • Ordering lodge uniforms and enforcing staff appearance policies • Attending daily morning operational meetings to manage special guest requests • Supporting sustainable lodge operations and One Planet Living Principles **IDEAL CANDIDATE** ✔ Previous supervisory or management experience in a similar luxury establishment ✔ Deep knowledge of world-class homekeeping/housekeeping standards and procedures ✔ Strong administrative ability, specifically in procurement, stock control, and financial management ✔ Computer literate (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel) ✔ Excellent command of English (both written and spoken) with strong communication skills ✔ Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure ✔ High agility and physical stamina for active, hands-on lodge work ✔ South African citizenship or valid SA work permit ? **REQUIREMENTS:** Candidates must be adaptable multi-taskers, committed to sustainable hospitality practices, and aligned with maintaining standard-setting excellence.
