ProStaffSelect are in search of highly skilled and enthusiastic COFFEE BARISTAS who are passionate about crafting exceptional coffee experiences and creating unique moments of connection with every customer. This candidate is also THE FACE of this speciality coffee brand RESPONSIBILITIES ° Coffee Craft : Brew and serve high-quality espresso and milk-based beverages with precision, consistency and respect for the character of the quality bean ° Guest Engagement : Welcome guests warmly, guiding them through the coffee offering and sharing insight into flavour profiles & preparation ° Station care : Maintain cleanliness, organisation & efficiency of the shop at all times ° Operations & Standards : Contribute to the professional, relaxed atmosphere of the shop through thoughtful and detailed service at the front counter ° Sales : Promote and be well-informed of all cakes, pastries and breads available ° Cash Handling / POS : Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, process credit cards, and manage cash transactions accurately ° Stock and Inventory : Restock cups, lids, syrups, pastries, and coffee beans as needed REQUIREMENTS: ° Education : Grade 12 or equivalent with advanced coffee craft qualifications a huge advantage ° Communication : Friendly, engaging personality with excellent listening, communication and teamwork skills ° Technical Knowledge : Highly skilled in operating espresso machines, grinders, and milk-steaming wands ° IT Skills : Experience with Computer POS System and card transactions ° Adaptability : Flexibility to work various shifts, including morning, evenings, and weekends ° Multitasking : Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment under pressure ° Physical Stamina : Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WHO: ° Have a genuine passion for coffee and proven barista experience within a high-quality coffee environment ° Thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment ° Demonstrate exceptional communication and teamwork skills ° Are dedicated to outstanding service in every interaction ° Are confident, attentive, and technically skilled behind the machine ° Provide masterful and crafted work with consistency, flavour balance, and elegant presentation ° Pride themselves in being friendly, warm and attentive without being overbearing ° Enjoy engaging with customers and sharing knowledge about their craft and all speciality products available in the shop ° Appreciate being focused on the finer details and dedicated to workflow precision, clean stations and high standards ° Are always calm under pressure and able to maintain quality and consistency during busy service periods
