General Manager – Luxury Safari Lodge ➡️ Live-in Role | Highly Competitive Salary Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and commercially astute General Manager to lead a luxury safari lodge in Limpopo. This is a senior leadership opportunity for an exceptional hospitality professional who combines strategic thinking with strong hands-on operational leadership ; a genuine passion for people and guest experience, and the ability to lead a multidisciplinary team within a remote luxury environment. The successful candidate will be the visible leader of the property, responsible for maintaining exceptional operational standards, developing people, driving commercial performance, and ensuring an outstanding guest experience from arrival through departure. Key Responsibilities • Take overall responsibility for the strategic and operational management of the lodge • Lead all departments including accommodation, F&B, guiding, guest activities, maintenance, and support operations • Maintain exceptional luxury service and guest experience standards • Be highly visible and guest-facing, personally engaging with guests and managing significant service recovery situations • Lead, mentor, develop, and retain a high-performing multidisciplinary team • Drive performance management, succession planning, staff development, and employee engagement • Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, operational reports, and financial targets • Drive profitability through effective cost control, revenue optimisation, procurement, and resource management • Monitor key commercial and operational performance indicators • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to support occupancy, revenue generation, trade relationships, and market positioning • Ensure compliance with labour legislation, health and safety requirements, environmental regulations, and company policies • Oversee maintenance, asset management, risk management, and operational continuity • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and represent the property professionally within the hospitality, tourism, and conservation sectors • Champion responsible tourism, sustainability, and meaningful community engagement Requirements • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Tourism, or related field • 10–15 years' hospitality experience, with a minimum of 5 years in senior leadership • Proven experience managing a luxury safari lodge, remote hospitality operation, or equivalent luxury hospitality environment • Strong understanding of the Southern African luxury hospitality and safari market • Demonstrated commercial and financial management capability • Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams in remote operational environments • Strong knowledge of lodge operations, revenue management, compliance, health and safety, and operational controls • Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and people-development skills • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance guest experience and business performance • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • High emotional intelligence and exceptional interpersonal skills • Calm, resilient, adaptable, and solutions-driven under pressure • Strong passion for people, hospitality, wildlife, and the guest experience Package • Highly competitive salary, depending on experience • Live-in accommodation provided • Full-time senior management position To Apply Please submit your updated CV, contactable references, and a recent head and shoulders photograph ASAP. ?
