The ideal candidate Culinary Excellence : You hold a Diploma in Culinary Arts (or equivalent professional qualification) and bring mastery of international fine-dining standards, with the creativity to integrate African influences into gourmet menus. Leadership & Standards : Skilled in leading a small, high-performing kitchen team, maintaining impeccable hygiene, discipline, and presentation. Menu Innovation : Experienced in designing seasonal menus, sourcing premium ingredients, and balancing international techniques with local authenticity. Guest Experience : Fluent in English with clear communication skills, able to engage with guests when required. Commitment & Integrity : Professional who value consistency, loyalty, and long-term growth. Resilience Under Pressure : Thrives in remote, high-demand environments, ensuring flawless service during peak guest occupancy. Cultural Sensitivity : Respectful of local traditions and able to incorporate African culinary influences into a global fine-dining framework. Sustainability Awareness : Knowledge of sustainable sourcing, waste reduction, and eco-conscious kitchen practices aligned with conservation values. Creativity & Presentation : Strong plating and presentation skills, ensuring every dish is visually striking and aligned with fine-dining standards. Training & Mentorship : Passionate about developing junior chefs, fostering growth, and maintaining high morale in a close-knit team. Adaptability : Comfortable working in a remote lodge environment, with flexibility to adjust menus and operations based on guest preferences and seasonal availability Key Requirements Bush Experience: A proven track record of working in remote bush environments is essential. · Health & Fitness: Due to the remote nature of the locations, candidates must be in good health with no serious medical conditions. Work Cycle & Leave Work Cycle: 6 weeks on-site followed by 2 weeks off. Annual Leave: 28 days of paid annual leave. Start Date 01 June 2026 Package & Benefits Salary: USD 2500 to USD 2800 per month (Net of taxes). Savings Scheme : A 10% employee contribution toward the NSSF is required, which is fully matched by a 10% employer contribution. The total accumulated amount is payable at the end of the contract. Travel : One annual economy-class flight ticket to your place of recruitment. Medical: Comprehensive health insurance and access to basic medical care.
