Location:Paarl and Surrounding Areas Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Gardener with expertise in maintenance and handyman tasks to join our household. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, exceptional gardening skills, and a practical approach to household maintenance. This role requires a dependable, honest, and professional individual who can enhance the beauty and functionality of our home and garden. Key Responsibilities: Gardening: Maintain and enhance the garden, including planting, weeding, and landscaping. Perform pruning and trimming of plants , fruit trees , vineyards and shrubs to promote healthy growth. Mow lawns and ensure they are kept in pristine condition. Manage watering and fertilization schedules for optimal plant health. Oversee tool and garden shed maintenance , ensuring tools are organised and in good working order and areas are neat , clean and well kept . Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance tasks around the home, including minor repairs and improvements. Ensure outdoor areas, including patios, brass areas and fireplaces , and walkways, are cleaned and well-maintained. Provide pool service, ensuring water quality and cleanliness. Manage utilities related to outdoor maintenance. Handyman Skills: Address basic plumbing and electrical issues as needed. Assemble furniture and perform installations, photo handing. Repairs . Assist with general household repairs and improvements. Perform window cleaning to maintain a clear and presentable home environment. Brasso all outdoor taps, clean light fittings , garages and cars as well as all equipment. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Gardener, Maintenance Worker, or Handyman. Ideally with Agri and Horticulture background. Strong knowledge of gardening techniques, including pruning and lawn care. Proficient in basic maintenance and repair tasks. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Personal Attributes: - Highly dependable and trustworthy. - Professional demeanor with strong communication skills. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Requirements: - Must reside in Paarl or surrounding areas. - Flexibility to work overtime as required. - Valid references from previous employers. Must be a South African or have valid bonfire work permit.
