ProStaffSelect are looking for a candidate who has worked at small luxury game lodges, private residences, wine estates and supremely exclusive villa residences. An individual with innovative ideas and highly organised work methods to streamline housekeeping operations within this superb destination hotel. This position is ideally suited to younger candidates due to the vast distance between Luxury Residences, Villas and Suites REQUIREMENTS: ° Minimum 3-5 years' housekeeping experience within a 5* Boutique Hotel, Game Lodge, or luxury Villa Residence (max 21 suites) ° Qualifications in Hospitality Management and Accommodation Services is essential ° Previous management experience essential to lead a team of 10 – 12 staff ° Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures, standards, and best practices ° Proven experience implementing and maintaining housekeeping SOPs ° Experience with budgeting, inventory management, stock control, and housekeeping administration ° Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and motivate a housekeeping team ° Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and people-management skills ° Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail ° Ability to multitask, prioritise effectively, and perform well under pressure ° Positive, enthusiastic, and service-driven approach ° Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities ° Proficiency in English with a good command of Afrikaans ° Familiarity with Opera, Apex, or similar property management systems advantageous ° Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments ° Salary offered is dependent on qualifications and experience ° Hours of Work - Hospitality working hours apply, including weekends, public holidays, and shifts as operationally required ° Candidates who currently reside in close proximity to Franschhoek will be considered for this position KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: ° Daily checks on public areas, rooms and all guest facilities ° Implement and maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across all areas ° Monitor the usage of equipment and consumption of stock, ensuring efficiency and minimizing waste ° Implement and monitor processes to ensure that housekeeping employees work in a manner that limits the risk of damage to buildings, furniture, and equipment ° Ensure all housekeeping-related guest requests and concerns are addressed promptly and effectively ° Prepare weekly work schedules for the housekeeping department based on the weekly forecasts and allocate tasks accordingly ° Work with department heads to implement practices that support the continuous development of team leaders and employees ° Provide timely feedback and conduct probationary and performance reviews for the team according to required standards ° Enforce discipline where necessary according to the Code of Conduct ° Provide direction, oversight, and guidance to the Housekeeping Team, ensuring they are motivated and aligned with the hotel’s standards ° Prepare and propose the annual housekeeping budget to Hotel General Manager ° Manage the departments attendance and leave balances to control staffing costs ° Coordinate with procurement teams to source high-quality cleaning materials, linens, and guest amenities ° Provide regular training for housekeeping staff to enhance service delivery, efficiency, and guest interaction
