Club General Manager | Luxury Fitness & Wellness Centres | Cape Town, Eastern Cape, KZN, Gauteng ? Salary: R35,000 – R65,000 DOE Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and dynamic Club General Manager to lead premium luxury fitness and wellness centres across multiple regions. This senior leadership role is responsible for delivering exceptional member experiences, driving operational and commercial performance, and building high-performing teams aligned with the brand’s culture and values. Requirements: NSC Matric Certificate (essential) Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Hospitality, or Retail (NQF 7) Minimum 6 years’ experience as a Club General Manager or General/Hospitality Manager in premium/luxury environments Completion of internal leadership programmes (essential) Strong commercial acumen with financial and project management expertise Solid understanding of local markets, competitors, and demographics Minimum 4 years’ people management experience Exceptional customer relations and problem-solving skills Strong knowledge of HR processes (recruitment, development, performance management, coaching) Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments High emotional intelligence, empathy, and adaptability Strong digital fluency and system proficiency Key Responsibilities: Commercial Management: Ensure club profitability, revenue growth, and EBITDA achievement Reduce member churn through engagement initiatives Drive ancillary revenue (PTs, health professionals, swim/tenant services) Manage capital investment projects and ROI Oversee operating expenses via P&L management Mitigate business risk through policy compliance Facility Management: Maintain premium brand standards across all facilities Ensure health, safety, and operational compliance Oversee maintenance and preventative programmes Deliver a holistic wellness experience People Management: Recruit; develop, and manage high-performing teams Manage tenants and contractors Drive training, engagement, and performance culture Ensure compliance with company policies Member Experience & Service: Deliver exceptional, personalised member experiences Oversee group exercise and in-club services Resolve queries and complaints professionally Embed a customer-centric culture Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitor activity and market risks Conduct monthly market analysis and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Net member growth and retention Operating expenses within budget Revenue and EBITDA achievement Facility and safety compliance People engagement and performance Customer experience metrics (CSAT, NPS, wellbeing) Group exercise and product performance Audit and risk compliance Package: Salary: R35,000 – R65,000 DOE Opportunity to lead multiple luxury fitness and wellness centres Senior leadership exposure and professional growth Supportive and high-performance working environment To apply for the Club General Manager position, please submit your CV, reference letters, and a recent head & shoulders photo Please note: Due to the high volume of applications, only candidates who meet the listed requirements will be contacted.
