A boutique pair of luxury safari lodges is seeking an energetic and passionate GENERAL MANAGER COUPLE to lead their team. This role suits an inspiring management couple with a strong grounding in lodge operations, finance, and people leadership, ready to run both properties with warmth, integrity, and a genuine commitment to guest delight. Core Criteria: Minimum 5 years’ responsible leadership experience in management positions within luxury safari hospitality Couple only; no children or pets Relevant qualification in hospitality or tourism Valid PDP In-depth understanding of lodge operations, finance, and staff management Strong budgeting, forecasting, and accounting knowledge, with solid computer skills General technical and mechanical knowledge Working knowledge of human resource management Proven ability to coach, develop, and inspire a team Excellent written and spoken communication skills Confident and comfortable engaging with affluent guests Well-presented; honest, self-motivated, and able to perform under pressure Strong references and a clean track record are mandatory Core Responsibilities: Manage both lodges, taking full responsibility for day-to-day operations Oversee budgets, financial forecasting, and cost control in conjunction with head office Maintain exceptional guest service and drive continuous improvement across every guest touchpoint Host agents, media, and VIP groups, as well as general guests Lead daily briefings with heads of department to plan arrivals, departures, maintenance, and special requests Coach; mentor, and develop staff, including onboarding, training plans, and performance management Oversee staffing levels, leave rosters, payroll, and HR processes Uphold health and safety standards in line with company policy and legislation Champion sustainability initiatives that reduce environmental and community impact Act as custodian of all operational equipment Build strong relationships with staff, the local community, and industry partners On Offer: Package of R70,000 to R80,000 depending on experience Live in. No children or pets
