Job Summary
Job Description:
The position responsible is to maintain equipment, document new purchases and repairs, and source any additional tools that project may require. In addition to tools and equipment, will be responsible for maintaining an inventory of small plant and tools. Overseeing of staff to ensure that all equipment is managed correctly, and all paperwork is submitted from Site to Office timeously.
Education and Experience:
- Grade 12/ Matric
- Relevant Certification
- 5 years in small tools Supervising in electrical infrastructure industry/ similar
- Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be capable of performing hard labour
- Must reside in the Eastern Cape
Responsibilities:
- Supervision of Small tool and plant employees.
- Liaison with sites with regards to the accurate completion of SMFS and any
- documentation that is required for the movement of these tools and plant to various sites
- Supervision of all LTI’S on site to ensure that correct management procedure of small tools/plant is being adhered too.
- Ensuring that final costings and figures are submitted timeously for action by various role players (Finance, Operations)
- Following up with site Managers to ensure that all costings are signed off an acknowledged timeously and ensuring that close off dates are met for finalisation of costings.
- To hold weekly meetings with the LTI on respective sites and to be part of weekly site meetings for various projects.
- To ensure that action lists are updated with relevant comments on a daily basis.
- Daily meetings with all role players in the small tool division to ensure that all orders have been placed timeously, certification of tools taking place and repairs being charged to site accordingly.
- Required to close the gap between site and Head Office by ensuring that all Site personnel are adhering to procedures in place.
- Forward plan requirements by working closely with the procurement team and small tools team to check on available stocks and procuring of shortages.
- To ensure that team are expediting shortages and ordered stocks.
- To oversee that all repairs are done and maintained. Any other tasks that your manager may request of you.
