Project Sales Engineer

Salary: R25,000 – R35,000 CTC per month Industry: Water Treatment Engineering

About the Role

An established engineering company within the water treatment industry is seeking a motivated and technically minded Project Sales Engineer to join its growing team. This opportunity is ideal for a young engineer with a passion for both technical sales and project engineering who is looking to develop their career within the water treatment sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting projects from initial design and costing through to commissioning while building and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare basic water treatment system designs and process layouts.

• Compile project costings, quotations, and technical proposals.

• Manage customer relationships and provide technical sales support.

• Prepare and submit tender documentation.

• Develop detailed water treatment process designs and equipment specifications.

• Provide engineering support to customers and business partners.

• Assist with project planning, scheduling, and control philosophies.

• Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and quality control activities.

• Support the commissioning of water treatment systems.

• Provide after-sales technical support and customer assistance.

• Work closely with internal engineering and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Minimum Requirements

• BTech, BSc Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical), or a relevant engineering qualification.

• 1–2 years' experience within the water treatment industry.

• Exposure to both technical sales and project engineering.

• Sound understanding of water treatment technologies and processes.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong planning, organisational, and time management abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

• Valid driver's licence will be advantageous.
