EXECUTIVE CHEF – Luxury Remote Safari Camp – Botswana Synopsis: Our client, a prestigious conservation-focused luxury safari operation in Botswana, is seeking an exceptional Executive Chef to lead its culinary offering. This is a senior-level opportunity for a highly creative and experienced chef who can deliver refined, story-driven cuisine in a remote, world-class wilderness environment. Description: The Executive Chef will act as the custodian of the culinary vision, responsible for designing and delivering immersive dining experiences that reflect a strong sense of place, sustainability, and luxury hospitality excellence. The role goes beyond traditional kitchen leadership, requiring a chef who can translate the safari environment into memorable gastronomic storytelling through food, presentation, and guest engagement. You will lead and develop a high-performing culinary team, ensuring consistent delivery of exceptional cuisine across all dining experiences including bush dinners, private dining, and interactive guest experiences. Strong collaboration with front-of-house and camp management teams is essential to ensure seamless guest journeys. This role also carries full responsibility for kitchen operations, financial performance, cost control, procurement, stock management, hygiene standards, and sustainable sourcing practices aligned with a farm-to-table philosophy. Requirements: Formal culinary qualification from a recognised culinary institute 3–5 years’ experience as Executive Chef or senior head chef in luxury hospitality Strong experience in remote lodge or safari environments (highly advantageous) Proven ability to lead, train, and develop culinary teams Strong financial, stock control, and kitchen administration skills Creative culinary style with strong attention to detail and presentation Passion for sustainability, conservation, and locally driven cuisine Ability to perform in remote, high-pressure environments Strong communication and organisational skills Package: Net salary approx. P40,000 (negotiable based on experience) 84 days annual leave Once-a-year return flight (expat package) 50% medical aid contribution Additional benefits for Botswana nationals as per company policy
