Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Assistant Lodge Manager (F&B Focus) to join a luxury safari lodge in Namibia. Working closely with the Lodge Manager, the successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day running of the property, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, strong team performance and consistently high operational standards. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with solid lodge experience, strong people skills and a genuine passion for hospitality, the bush and conservation. Key Responsibilities Assist with the overall day-to-day operation of the lodge. Support guest activities, hosting, housekeeping, food & beverage, stock control, administration and maintenance. Ensure consistently high levels of guest service and hospitality. Lead; motivate and develop lodge staff. Assist with staff training, performance management and succession planning. Support HR processes, including payroll administration and disciplinary procedures where required. Monitor operational standards and ensure company procedures are followed. Assist with stock, storeroom and cost-control procedures. Support the Lodge Manager and wider management team as required. Promote and maintain strong environmental, sustainability and conservation standards. Requirements 3–5 years' relevant experience within a lodge or safari camp environment. Culinary qualification/diploma is essential. Strong knowledge of food, food presentation and F&B standards. Good understanding of stock control, storerooms and operational controls. Previous experience supervising and motivating a diverse team. Excellent communication, guest relations and problem-solving skills. Strong computer literacy. Fluent written and spoken English. Valid driver's licence. Professional; organised and able to work independently. Personal Attributes We are looking for someone who is: A warm, confident and sociable host.
