Temp Front of House / Relief Manager (Maternity Cover) | Luxury Safari Lodge | Greater Kruger
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and professional Temp Front of House / Relief Manager for a luxury safari lodge situated in the Greater Kruger region.
This fixed-term maternity cover position is ideally suited to a confident, well-presented hospitality professional with a strong background in luxury lodge operations and guest relations. The successful candidate will support the Front of House department while ensuring exceptional guest experiences and seamless daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Welcome guests and manage check-in and check-out procedures
• Conduct guest orientations and lodge briefings
• Perform room inspections to ensure exceptional standards are maintained
• Host guests and provide personalised service throughout their stay
• Carry out reception and administrative duties
• Assist with daily and month-end financial administration
• Support invoicing, stocktaking and delivery management processes
• Provide operational support across departments when required
• Relieve the Relief Manager during scheduled leave periods
Requirements
• Previous experience within a luxury safari lodge environment is essential
• 5-star lodge experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of hospitality booking systems, finance systems and POS platforms
• Matric / Grade 12 qualification
• Relevant hospitality qualification advantageous
• Valid driver's licence
• Clear criminal record
• South African citizen
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional appearance and confident guest interaction abilities
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment
Package
• Live-in position
• Meals provided whilst on duty
• Uniform provided
• Accommodation included
• Work cycle: 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off
• Contract duration: 5 months
• Start date: July 2026
